I’m crying. Not literally, but more or less. I guess I’ve given them music and so they’ve returned music to my ears. If I can take anything that is said on this show seriously, I’ve won the greatest prize of my life and that is respect from people in the industry that I want to BE in.

Dre gets me. Doc gets me. Johnny gets me. Candece gets me. Johny Taylor knows what I’m all about. I’m going to take all of this amazing feedback, I’m going to go to L.A. tomorrow and I’m going to work with all these wonderfully talented people and see what happens. I’m going to enjoy every minute of this show and collaboration, but even if I don’t end up fitting into this (bound to be) amazing band, I know that they’ve seen my value and next time I record a song it will be heard at great distances.

“So, you would sign him?”

“I would.”

(Joel cried tears of joy).
