Little Sparrow, the seed is on the ground. And we know you'd love to be an Eagle. To fly so much higher, to be so much stronger than you are now.
Little Sparrow, let us give you wings, a white crown and some talons and many other things.
But don't you forget how the world looks
on Sparrow's wings.
Little Sparrow. Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Little Sparrow, now you can fly so high.
And if you see a salmon swimming you can take a dive. So, go and catch that field mouse, go and catch that hare, if you dare.
Little Sparrow, you are an Eagle now.
And you are flying high way above the clouds. And all the other sparrows want to know is, "how does it feel to fly on the wings of an eagle?"
Oh please don't tell them.
Little Sparrow, you can not go back home where the seeds are tossed lightly on the snow. For you can't tell the sparrow where the eagle has flown. The eagle flies alone.
Oh please don't tell them
So once you were a Sparrow, as an eagle the sky will be your home.
